So yesterday I was craving sweets all day. So why not vicariously live through my boyfriend ;) I made him eat these delicious tiramisu waffles that I had laying around. Then today I fed some to my parents and now there are non for me to eat...perfect. I've been increasing my fruit intake as a supplement for the sweets, so that makes it easier. I noticed when I restrict something, I crave it even more, as to when I eat it, i can just go by without thinking twice about it. Does everyone feel like this? For those of you that may be wondering, I did do 7 rounds of that exercise on Feb. 23rd. Tomorrow i may not make it to the gym since I have class till 8p.m., therefore I may do this exercise.

Guess what? Bodyrock.tv is doing a one month sweets fast. Stay away from all sugar except for those in fruits. That means no candy, cake, frappucinos, high sugar soda/ juice, donuts, waffles, ect. I don't sweets that much as is, but I figured it would do me well if I join in on this fast. Except I made the mistake of drinking skim milk in a single carton and for some reason it had 27 g of sugar. (skim milk, hmmmm makes me wonder). So I  started 3 days ago, but since I messedup today, tomorrow will be day one. Tomorrow I will be doing this exercise. It looks like a lot of fun and challenging (I'm hoping I can last all 7 rounds!). Wish me luck.

P.S. My potato intake is still under control as I am not scarfing down the entire plate when its served to me, and I havent made it for myself since last year (that being 2 months ago...hehe)

On a Sunday, I wake up at 8:30am!!! So why not take the opportunity to do a little morning exercise, right? I've been reading that it's best to do exercise on an empty stomach (cardio exercise) along with a cup of coffee for the extra push. I applied this to todays workout and it works! I felt like a I had a bit more energy (even though I'm still sleepy, even as I write this) and even a bit lighter since I did not have the food of half the lingering around in my belly. My back still hurts from shoveling snow three days ago, however it did not stop me from completing this workout. I was not able to complete 8 rounds of it, but did 5 rounds. Then I did an extra two rounds of just Prisoner squat with knee ups, and Jump rope (yea...push ups are my week spot, especially because after 3 rounds by the 5th push up my arms looked like they were about to collapse. when that happens I just do less reps since form is important when doing these). I definitely pushed myself, because by the time I was completing the 4th round I was feeling nauseous and by the 5th was ready to collapse AND i still did the 2 rounds of those 2 exercises!

I did not eat potatoes for an entire month! Do I notice a difference...to be honest, not really. Then again I did not eat extremely as lean as I intended too. Not eating potatoes for so long made me realize how much I would overdose on them when I did eat them. As well as many other foods. I do feel bloated a lot less often now, and over the past 2 weeks I have been eating smaller portions more often (by splitting my sandwiches, or salads). I will continue to blog about my food and workout experience though (potatoes included) and see how long it takes me to see a difference.

I went to a restaurant the other night, and did not eat potatoes!!! Am I seeing a huge difference in my body? No, but I am seeing a difference. Plus to be honest, I don't think I was eating super healthy and lean this month. For the most part yes, but I've had much more sweets then usual. It always happens, that's why I hate the term "diet." It "forbids" you and then that's all you think about and sneak it in. For example, I ate ice cream at the restaurant...I rarely ever eat or crave ice cream and suddenly I NEEDED it. Maybe I should go for another month with no potatoes (just kidding...but I will limit it to small portions and no more then once a week for now till I reach my goal)

So today I ran for 40 minutes with intervals of 5.5 to 6.5 intensity. Then to reward myself I got these sunglasses . I also did biceps, triceps and dead lifts with 15lbs on each side of the bar (I felt like I was ripping my hamstring *think muscles*).

Every time I eat red meat, the follow up ends up in constant stomach pain. Each time I vow to never eat it again, and then bam!! it's in front of me. Saturday night was Mexican night at our friends house, so I indulged in 3 generous portions of tacos. I did not stuff them to the fullest extent of ground beef, but each taco had about one full table spoon of beef. Seems like a little right. Well my stomach was still growling last night!!!! (it was Wednesday). So once again, no more red meat for me!

It has also been 25 days since I have not touched potatoes, and each day I think less and less of the delicious taste, its kind of like a break up...time heals all cravings (hehehe).

I also ran for 20  minutes straight at 5.6 intensity today. I intended to do a body exercise each day but unfortunately that did not happen. Especially since I got a tetanus shot yesterday. Word of advice, be sure to get in a good arm work out cause it will be in serious pain for the next 2-3 days (and I heard the more muscle you have the worse...I'm not muscular what so ever in my arms but I whined like a baby).

On days that I'm not at the gym, I'm doing Zuzanna's workouts (shes my inspirtation). I'm still finishing up buns and fat week.

So apparently the life of someone who attends classes at night, work in the morning and gym/errands somewhere in between, doesn't have the time for blog writing...but do not worry, I have everything that I ate on each day in my little journal. Still no potatoes!

So much has happened. Last week, after some thought and a discussion with Mr. Fitnessfrog himself, I have come to the conclusion that the best way for me to lose the tenant living in my midsection is cardio. And so, that Thursday, I face the treadmill, for a full 20 minutes!!! Sound awesome, right? Well here's the truth, I only ran for 7 of those minutes. I really was concentrating on not toppling over. Then came the long weekend, and who wants to run then? Oh, and on Friday I did half an hour jump rope. After the weekend though, I went back to the gym, this time with Ipod in hand, and guess what.. I did 40 minutes on the treadmill, 24 minutes running; 11 mins run, 4 mins rest, 10 mins run, 4 mins rest, 3 minutes run, 8 minutes walk (now that I am very proud of myself for, especially since I HATE RUNNING!!!).  The best part of this whole thing was that I got to watch a movie on my Ipod during my entire run. Totally withdrew my attention of how  'tired' or the little voice with 'that's enough.' Due to personal reasons, I was unable to attend the gym today but I will be back there tomorrow. On the days that I am not at the gym, I started doing exercise of my fitness role model from www.bodyrock.tv Not only is her website great, but her workouts are amazing and the rest of her blogs, recipes and news can keep me entertained for hours! The exercise that I will doing for now on days that I am not on the treadmill or bicycle will be from her Buns and Fat Loss Week. Also, after each cardio session, I will be concentrating on one body part and working that out as well.
